   What can I say? Its the Smash Fighter pass and I could gift it to my brother without putting money on my Nintendo account. Nintendo’s customer service is essentially none existent so anything that allows me to forego putting money into my account with them and still buy the products they offer on the eShop makes me happy. I was also able to use my 5% cash back Prime card so that’s just a little extra bonus. Moral of the story, if I can avoid putting money into my eShop account, I will.

   Given that this is for content that I will mostly not use (I basically only use Samus) and I buy it as a courtesy for people playing with me more than for myself, I wouldn’t say I was especially qualified to review it. Not to mention most of the content, at the time of this review, is unknown at this time. You get 5 fighters, 5 stages, and music to go with each stage. For 5 bucks a character, that doesn’t seem to be a bad deal.What I can tell you however, at the time of writing, the DLC was on sale for a couple bucks off on Amazon. To my surprise, I still got Nintendo’s 5% back as eshop coins for this purchase despite buying it through Amazon. I was worried that buying through Amazon instead of Nintendo might short me this additional deal, but I got both deals.Nintendo’s 5% credit for buying this was given to me at the time I claimed the Amazon code, as 125 coins, which can be claimed for $1.25 cents towards a future digital purchase on Nintendo’s eshop.

   While I was excited for the introduction of the Pihrana Plant and Byleth characters, I was disappointed that Jonesy, a character from my favorite video game franchise, Forthite, did not make it in. I would have given this terrible excuse for excrement 1 star, however, Nintendo has made room to redeem themselves with their second fighter pass. In retrospect, the picks for this fighter pass were quite good and I enjoyed playing as the Hero character from Final Fantasy. Jerry Gogurt was an incredible choice for the SMT fanbase and Conker pleased many Bioware fans. Nintendo has set the bar very low for any future DLC characters.
