   It’s been a while since I’ve had serious fun in a game, and Super Mario Odyssey is a fantastic Nintendo game that gives new life to the Mario storyline that many of us have grown up knowing.Before I review the game: I purchased this digitally through Amazon and did not have any problems redeeming the code. I tried to purchase it a few times through Best Buy digitally but was rejected every time, and I only needed to buy it once in Amazon using the same credit card. Not sure what the issue was with Best Buy, but absolutely zero issues with buying it digitally through Amazon.On to the review of the game….At first, the ability to throw a hat sounds kind of ridiculous, but it is so much fun to use. Whether using the hat to bloom all of the flowers in a circle to unlock a hidden heart, or hitting cloud-shaped hats to reveal platforms, or controlling a character and using their powers to proceed in a level, it’s such a joy to play through all of the stages with the assistance of Cappy the hat. I haven’t played 2 player yet, but the second player can control Cappy which is also great!Don’t worry about finishing the game quickly, because there are TONS to collect afterwards. There are a total of 999 power moons (the game’s version of stars if you played Super Mario 64), and every level has a set amount of purple collectibles which can be used to buy costumes or decals for the odyssey. Speaking of costumes, there are also a lot of costumes that can also be bought using gold coins. I’ve played the game almost every day since I bought it, and I’m only at 321 power moons as of this posting. The game has fun activities to make collecting things less tiring than other games I’ve played.One hint: every time you go through a red doorway with a golden hat on it or a pipe, be aware that there could be 2 power moons in that stage. If you find one power moon, exit the stage then re-enter and Cappy will tell you if there is another power moon left to collect.This is a perfect game to play no matter what age you are. The fun factor is high and the amount of collectables is abundant. Great job as always, Nintendo!

   I finished this game a few weeks ago, and I’ve been pondering what I should write in review. When I say I “finished” it, I mean I FINISHED it. Made it past every single one of the “endings,” somehow. At some points, I wanted to rip my hair out in frustration. At others, I really just enjoyed climbing buildings and exploring what the Mario world has to offer (I’ll tell you right now that it’s a lot. There’s a lot). This game occupied me for several weeks, yet somehow I never got bored. I debated even buying this game at first because some people (obviously more experienced gamers than I am) thought it was much too simple. However, i never got over the joy and utter satisfaction of getting a moon that I thought I would never see. Of course, if you just play through the main storyline, you’ll be done in a few days. That’s to be expected. But Nintendo has put several endings in the game, each significantly more difficult to achieve than the last. I finally finished the entire game weeks after I bought it and let me tell you, I have never felt such satisfaction. I thought I would genuinely have a heart attack trying to get some of those moons. Moral of the story, it’s great for all ages and skill levels. A 7-year old could finish the main storyline and never touch it again and probably be content. But *anyone* has the option to keep playing for muuuuuch longer past that. Not the best for multiplayer, but it’s still a fun time if someone wants to half-heartedly be a companion to player one. If you’re debating getting this game, I say just get it. You’ll most likely find something to love about it because of how open-ended everything is.

   I was very resistant against Mario game it do not mean I am against Mario games. I am avid video gamer and heavy Nintendo and Sony player. Mario Galaxy was final game I played because it became much complicating for me especially with dealing with my handicapped for my cerebral palsy it create much difficult. I was told by my friend Mario Odyssey is something different. I was in doubt for long time because I am specialized in RPG and open world. So I gave up and tried Mario Odyssey and I finally love it.
