I bought this portable switch stand for my switch lite so that I could take a controller on the go while traveling and have something to hold my switch while I play since the switch lite does not come with a built-in kickstand like the normal switch does.It works great and is easy to use if you’re thinking about purchasing for children. You just pop it open, adjust it to the level that you would like, and then fold down the tab that actually holds the switch. It’s very easy to use and seems durable. It’s a little cheap-feeling, it’s not metal, but it doesn’t necessarily feel like super cheap plastic either. I tested the hinges and applied a little bit of force, and it seems like it’ll hold.I enjoy the fact that it has adjustable viewpoints for different viewing heights, I think that was very thoughtful. I also really enjoy that there’s a hole at the bottom in order for easy-access charging so that you can plug the switch in to charge while continuing to use the stand and play.I must say, the only thing that I really do not enjoy about this stand is the size. I understand that the switches are big and heavy, but a lighter, smaller stand would be nice. I looked on the market for a smaller stand, but they all seemed to be roughly around the same size. This Hori compact stand BARELY fits in my Butterfox Slim case, and while some cases are larger (like my sisters, which this would have no problem fitting in), I think that a smaller stand that’s even more portable would be more enjoyable for on-the-go travel that doesn’t bulk up your case.Overall, I really enjoy this stand and have already used it lots. I think it’s a great alternative if you have a switch lite that doesn’t have a built-in kickstand (or even if you have a switch wit ha kickstand) for playing with a controller. It’s durable and sturdy, provides three different viewpoints, easily folds and unfolds for playing, and provides a cutout in the bottom of the tab that holds the switch for easy-access charging. I would only advise making sure that you have a case large enough to fit the stand, as it’s a pretty big one. I have the Butterfox Slim carrying case and it barely fits in the zippered-pouch with my charging cord and earbuds. Even when trying to put it in/take it out, I need to be very careful of the zipper and tuck it under the zipper or untuck it from under before taking the stand out.Highly recommend if you’re looking for something to travel with for playing on-the-go or if you’re just looking to play games like fortnite, mario, etc. that require a stand that you can play with joycons or a separate controller. It’s great, feels nice, is very durable and sturdy it’s just very large.

This stand is really nice for if you want to game using either a pro controller or joysticks while not in console mode. The design makes it easy to charge and play at the same time. It easily holds the switch and feels secure. It’s nice that it folds down for easy storage while you’re not using it.

I got this stand originally after I got my switch a couple years ago. It fell next to a heater and got distorted so I decided to get a replacement. First order was someone else’s trash so I got a refund and looked for another one. The second order was more expensive so I’m taking a star off since amazon should have checked the return before selling it again.

Got the Zelda themed portable stand for Nintendo Switch. So far it’s been great. It’s super lightweight, and works great for table top play rather than using the built in stand on the switch. I’m ever so slightly concerned about long term durability, as it’s made of lightweight plastic, but for the price and portability of it, it’s still worth the purchase to me.

Its design is great, it functions well with Lite. But seems regular is too Heavy. I only have 3 issues with this.1. the back that is propping this up is too small with no locking mechanism whatsoever other than friction and force, some times it accidentally falls.2. It only has 3 angles.3. the part that holds the switch up breaks off really easily. I have a Staysfy grip on my switch and the part where you sit the switch on broke off twice with my switch just sitting on it.

I’ve had this product since 2018 and it’s durable, lightweight, and perfect for travel! I can prop the Switch up as it’s plugged in. Paired with a pro controller it makes a great travel set up on a plane for a Nintendo Switch.
