I’ve been searching for that right gamepad for months. I play mostly retro vintage games. it is perfect for street fighter on Mame and Snes as well as any other games on these emulations. response time is very good and the button feels are perfect. even though its a Nintendo switch version it works fine with windows 10, no need to install anything. I highly recommend for gamers who plays on emulators.

I recently purchased the switch version of the controller and I gotta say I know now why they’re still available for purchase. I purchased this to use on my pc and granted its plug and play. My main problem with this version of the controller the button layout stays the same as if you’re on a switch, so a is b and b is a same thing with x and y. I really didn’t expect the layout to stay the same on pc. When you play any of your games your button layout is backwards. Another note is this controller has no weight to it. I feel like I’m holding a toy or something. For these two reasons I can only give this item 3/5 stars

When I don’t feel like getting a fight stick out to do some gaming on my MiSTer, this is my go to control, and I have quite a few to choose from. Dpad is great, 6 face buttons are good,, and general shape is comfy. I’ve haven’t even plugged it into my switch.

The best dpad for 2D fighting games for the Nintendo Switch. If you play anime fighting games it’ll work but there’s no analog stick so if you’re used to using one you’ll have to work around it. It can be used on Play Station 4 on Street Fighter V if You change the controllers to Legacy controller inside of the game.

Pros:- The d-pad is excellent. I fell in love with Hori d-pads after using the one on the Split Pad Compact, and the one on this controller is pretty much identical in quality. The rounded edges all the way around are comfortable for my thumb, and the pad is just incredibly solid (almost as if it was overengineered for durability).- The controller is comfortable to hold. It has some nice bulk to it.- The face buttons don’t feel premium, but they feel good enough and are responsive.Cons:- The shoulder and trigger buttons feel ridiculously cheap — like Fisher Price cheap.- There’s nothing to this controller beyond basic functionality. No rumble, gyro, etc., and it’s very lightweight as a result. That’s probably to be expected at this price point, though.Basically, the d-pad is the selling point for this controller. It’s great for fighting games and side-scrolling platformers. As long as you’re not too bothered by the appallingly cheap feel of the shoulder and trigger buttons, I think you’ll like this controller just fine.

The HORI Nintendo Switch Fighting Commander, officially licensed by Nintendo, has revolutionized my fighting game experience, particularly in Tekken 7. The controller’s design allows for effortless finger movement across different buttons, enabling me to execute advanced moves with exceptional precision. Complex techniques like Mishima electrics, once challenging to perform, have become significantly easier thanks to the controller’s intuitive layout. It is undoubtedly the ultimate choice for fighting game enthusiasts who prefer a controller over an arcade stick. With the HORI Nintendo Switch Fighting Commander, you can take your skills to the next level and dominate the virtual fighting arena.

I have a total of 20 hours with this pad with Street Fighter 6, and it’s pretty solid! It does feel overly cheap as other people have said, but it still feels solid to hold and use. There are a couple of announces I have with it though:1. The d-pad is pretty mediocre in terms of performance and feel. I often have accuracy issues when trying to rapid movements and fireball motions and my thumb is noticeably sore after even a bit of use– I think it would be much better served if it was more shallow or “flat” similar to 8bitdo controllers.2. There’s this weird firmware issue with the controller that when you use it on PC Steam doesn’t recognize it as a Nintendo controller, so you’re stuck with an Xbox layout.
